PROJECT “100 CLASSI 20 years”
English translation provided by the classes II C, II D, III C, IV C from the Artistic High School Confalonieri De Chirico in Rome, coordinated by the students Elisa Brundu and Michela Caraccio supported by their teachers Arianna Ciocca and Maria Lo Tito
On the occasion of the 20th year of 100 classi (100 classes), in the school year 2021-22 the project has aimed to spread information through the website about the “best practices” developed since 2002.
The involved students:
- achieved the English translation of the main texts of the website for a wider dissemination of the project, conceived since the beginning to promote European cooperation;
- started to collaborate in the implementation of the website WordPress platform, planned in 2022 to ease the editorial work of 100 classi.
The translation was done according to a methodology tested for the Italian publication of the texts of the Deutsches Museum website from 2002 to 2005. This activity emphasized the initiative of the schools that contributed to the work most.
As a result, it is now possible to read in English brief introductions to the “best practices” developed by the 100 classi Network since 2002 mainly towards three directions:
- school / museum relationship (100 classi as a cooperation between the Deutsches Museum and the Ufficio Scolastico Regionale del Lazio USR) 2002-05;
- science communication (100 classi Very special reporters 2005-09);
- active scientific citizenship – 100 classi Smart school 2009-13; 100 classi Let’s cultivate the school 2013-19; 100 classi for future 2019-21.
