Awards
The RES Association has so far supported various awards, including the “Mundus maris” International Award on the occasion of the World Oceans Day and the National “Science according to me” Award, organized by the Storytelling European Association (SEA).
In order to promote students participation in the calls for these awards, RES has organized workshops in science communication together with its partner formicablu, a group of professionals specialized in science communication methodologies and production of multimedia tools and contents.
“Mundus maris” Award – World Oceans Day
The 100 classi promoted the “Mundus maris” Award, when in 2016 for the first time an Italian student, Giuliana Britti from IV B class of the “De Chirico” Art School in Rome – participating in the 100 classi Project – won one of the prizes of this international competition!
The initiative is organized by the Mundus maris Association to celebrate the World Oceans Day and involves young people on the issue of protecting the oceans. The World Oceans Day, initially proposed on June 8, 1992 at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, was celebrated for the first time in an Italian school on June 8, 2016 by the “De Chirico” Art School in Rome.
National Award “Science according to me”
To promote students participation in this Award, RES organized workshops in science communication together with its partner formicablu at the ITIS Giorgi and the IIS Confalonieri – De Chirico in Rome on the following subjects:
First Edition 2015 – Food and Health
Second Edition 2016 – Climate Change
